About Contest
“WAFX” – WAVES VFX COMPETITION is India’s premier nationwide hunt for top VFX talent.
In a pioneering collaboration, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) has joined forces with ABAI to introduce the first-ever WAVES VFX COMPETITION, the headline event of the upcoming World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES). This monumental partnership signifies a new chapter for India’s creative industry, launching the inaugural “Create in India Season 1.”
The competition is open to students, amateurs, and professionals alike, who simply need to submit their VFX work to participate. Throughout the journey, contestants will benefit from masterclasses and mentorship, honing their skills in preparation for the Grand Final at the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in New Delhi in February 2025, where finalists will vie for the prestigious Best Student and Professional VFX Artist awards.
